Why Little Wins Health exists
It started with our family.
Our son is 11 — energetic, active and always ready for fun. But we became concerned about his overall health and wanted to find a positive way to help him.
At first, we tried different approaches. We encouraged healthier eating, more activity and better choices. Our intentions were good, but looking back, we realised that without meaning to, we could sometimes put pressure on him.
We didn't want him worrying about his weight, feeling guilty about food or thinking that being healthy was a punishment.
We realised we needed to change our approach too.
Instead of focusing on what he shouldn't do, we started looking at what we could do together as a family.
Setting small goals. Trying new foods. Getting active. Taking on little challenges. Learning together. And, most importantly, celebrating the things we achieved rather than focusing on the things we hadn't.
And something happened that we hadn't really expected.
We started spending more quality time together.
It wasn't just about helping our son. It gave my partner and me more opportunities to get involved, have fun together, encourage each other and create memories as a family.
Some days we succeeded, some days we didn't. But it didn't really matter.
The biggest benefit wasn't always the goal we achieved or the challenge we completed.
It was the time we spent together along the way.
That experience inspired the idea for Little Wins Health.
An app where children can set goals, complete fun challenges, learn about their bodies, discover new foods and earn rewards, while parents can get involved, support each other and celebrate progress as a family.
It's not about diets, weight or perfection.
It's about building positive habits, confidence and wellbeing — while creating more opportunities for families to connect, have fun and spend time together.
Because sometimes the biggest win isn't reaching the goal.
It's bringing your family closer together while you get there.
One little win at a time.
What we believe
- Healthy living should feel like an adventure, not a chore.
- Kids are capable, curious and far more advanced than we sometimes think.
- Every child is different — there is no one-size-fits-all hero.
- Parents are teammates, not referees.
- We never talk about weight, calories, diets or weigh-ins.
